The Preamble of the Act provides for the establishment of Bar Councils at state level and All India Bar Council. A re-publishing of old Barbados newspapers - Volume 1 in the series is the Barbados Globe and Colonial Advocate, 1839 and 1840 with one issue from 1837 and two from 1838. These are really large books... the dark burgundy covers with gold leaf impressions are a shade over 12" wide x 17" tall, and the book is 1" thick with a lay-flat binding.
